Agency Description:
Yorkville Common Pantry (YCP) is dedicated to reducing hunger while promoting dignity and self-sufficiency. YCP champions the cause of the hungry through food pantry and hot meal distribution programs, nutrition education, basic hygiene services, homeless support, and related services. We are reliant on our many wonderful volunteers who help with packing, organizing and distributing groceries in our pantry program, prepare and serve hot meals and so much more!

Project Description:
Our food pantry packs, organizes and distributes nutritious and free groceries to low income individuals and families. We have recently transitioned to a Client Choice program which allows pantry members to choose which foods they receive at YCP! We are very reliant on our awesome volunteers during this shift.

Special Skills or Tools Required:
Please have volunteers wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing. Clients should be able to lift 30lbs, though it is not expected that every volunteer will be heavy lifting.
